Jackery Pioneers Towards Sustainable Packaging: A Green Revolution for Earth Day and Beyond

Pioneering Eco-Friendly Packaging Practices for a Greener Future

In a bid to reduce its environmental impact, Jackery has taken the bold step of replacing traditional EPE foam with sustainable paperboard in its packaging. This switch not only minimizes plastic usage but also presents a scalable solution for the industry. Jackery's packaging is carefully crafted using a combination of eco-friendly paper materials, ensuring sustainability from the inside out. These materials adhere to IST2A packaging transport standards, guaranteeing durability and resilience during transportation while also being environmentally responsible. The diverse range of eco-friendly paper types employed includes fully degradable coated paper, kraft paper, honeycomb paper, corrugated paper, and more.

Moreover, Jackery's commitment to eco-conscious packaging extends to its innovative design elements. One such feature is the patent perforated paper handles, which serve as a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic handles. By utilizing paper-based handles, Jackery eliminates the need for plastic components, thereby reducing plastic waste and contributing to environmental conservation efforts.

Tracy Wang, Head of Global Branding and PR, said: "Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond providing green energy solutions. It extends to every aspect of our operations. The adoption of sustainable paperboard in our packaging is a significant leap towards more responsible business practices."

The move towards eco-friendly packaging is projected to result in an annual reduction of 151.5 tons of plastic waste, and 151.5 tons of CO2e emissions, which equals planting 6886 trees per year. These estimates are based on Jackery's annual sales data, showcasing the tangible impact that conscious packaging decisions can have on the environment.

Jackery's Ongoing Commitment to Sustainability

This eco-friendly packaging initiative is not an isolated effort but part of Jackery's broader commitment to sustainable development. As a company deeply invested in green energy solutions, Jackery continually seeks ways to minimize its environmental footprint. One significant stride towards sustainability is Jackery's ownership of its Green Factory. Also 10 of Jackery’s products have received carbon footprint verification from TÜV SÜD in 2023. Lastly, Jackery’s Solar Generator 2000 Plus has won the prestigious SEAL Sustainable Product Award 2023.

Jackery's journey towards sustainability is ongoing. While this packaging innovation is a significant step, Jackery is actively exploring and implementing additional measures to ensure that its operations align with the principles of a circular and regenerative economy.
